Gaucher disease affects approximately 1 in 40,000 to 100,000 births in the general population.

The global prevalence is approximately 0.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Stat 3 - Carrier Status

Roughly 1 in 200 people carries the Gaucher gene. It is an autosomal recessive disorder, meaning a child must inherit a copy of the mutated gene from each parent to develop the disease.
